MPPSC Exam Syllabus for State Services Exam

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts written examination and interview for recruitment of vacant seats of different posts in different departments. Shortlisted candidates in the Preliminary exam are called for Main examination. MPPSC Exam Syllabus is very important for doing preparation well for the exam. Lack of knowledge for the syllabus is the main cause to face failure in Examination. Applicants may start their preparations with the help of MPPSC Exam Syllabus 2017 and score good marks.
For MPPSC Exam Syllabus, one needs to know about the new MPPSC Exam Pattern. To get recruited through Maharashtra Public Service Commission, candidates need to clear the three most essential sections which are as follows:


  • MPPSC Preliminary Exam
  • MPPSC Main Exam
  • Interview
MPPSC Exam Syllabus, therefore, can be broadly divided into two parts; MPPSC Prelims Syllabus for MPPSC Prelims Exam and MPPSC Mains Syllabus for MPPSC Mains Exam.



Phase I: MPPSC Syllabus for Preliminary Exam
The preliminary examination will consist of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 150 marks. This Examination is meant to serve as a screening test only and the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the Candidates, who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Examination, will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.

Phase II: MPPSC Syllabus for Mains Exam
The Main examination will consist of seven papers of the conventional essay and each paper carries a maximum of 300 marks. Candidates are required to obtain at least 33% marks in each subject. In the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class, these minimum qualifying marks would be 23%. The marks obtained in the Mains Examination by the Candidates, who are declared qualified for admission to the Interview Test.
